Donald Trump celebrated Cinco de Mayo by posing with a taco bowl and claiming “I love Hispanics” in a photo posted on social media. 

The image went viral, but in all the wrong ways for the presumed Republican presidential nominee.

Trump has made building a wall to keep Mexicans out of the United States a cornerstone of his campaign. He’s also said of Mexican immigrants: “They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.”

So naturally, social media had a field day with his Cinco de Mayo post. Here are some of the many responses:
