Roller coaster derails at Scotland theme park, several injured








A roller coaster at a Scotland theme park derailed and plunged 30 feet to the ground Sunday, injuring at least seven people, according to local reports.






The Tsunami ride at M&D’s theme park, in Motherwell, came off its track and collapsed with up to 10 people on board, according to the Daily Record. Six ambulances and six fire engines rushed to the scene.






A witness told BBC that riders were “trapped upside down on the ride.”






The cause of the crash is unknown.

Police investigated the Tsunami in July 2011 after came to a sudden stop 60 feet in the air, leaving nine people stuck there for eight hours.
