Cavs forward LeBron James told Chris Haynes of cleveland.com that he is leaning towards not playing in the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Prior to the Cavs championship parade, LeBron James told Chris Haynes of cleveland.com that he may not play for Team USA in the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
LeBron James tells me he’s leaning towards not participating in Rio Olympics this summer. “That’s what I’m thinking right now.”

He had participated in the Olympics in 2004, 2008 and 2012, helping the U.S. win the gold medal in 2008 and 2012.
James earlier told cleveland.com’s Joe Vardon that he will return to the Cavs for the 2016-17 season.
Other star NBA players who have confirmed they will not participate in the Olympics for Team USA include Golden State’s Stephen Curry, Oklahoma City’s Russell Westbrook and Houston’s James Harden.
