Jonny Bairstow hit a career best unbeaten 167 on Friday before Sri Lanka rallied with the bat in the third Test at Lord’s. 

Dimuth Karunaratne and Kaushal Silva took the tourists to 162 for one at the close of play and the Sri Lankans will have high hopes of surpassing England’s first-innings total of 416 on Saturday.
