Singer Bo Bruce to marry this weekend, but her estranged father the Earl of Cardigan "wasn"t invited"

The Voice singer Bo Bruce will marry her fiancé Henry Binns this weekend – but her estranged father hasn’t made the invite list, it has been claimed.

The star, 31 – full name Lady Catherine Brudenell-Bruce – announced her engagement last summer, admitting at the time she “couldn’t be happier”.

And now, according to Mail Online , she will tie the knot with her music producer beau at the Wiltshire church where her mum, cookery writer Rosamond Winkley, Countess of Cardigan, is buried.

The publication claims Bo has kept the ceremony secret so her estranged father, Lord Cardigan, won’t attend.

The couple are set to marry

“There is a legal situation, which is that, by definition, a church service is a public event and so no one can be barred from it,” the Rev Michael McHugh, team rector at St Katharine’s Church in Savernake, told the paper.

“There will be private business. A lot of the service will not be held in the church. It will just be the legal bits we do in the church.

“Most of it will be out of our hands. They could just turn up in ordinary suits and T-shirts and get the legal done and it would be perfectly valid.”

Lord Cardigan, Bo Bruce’s Dad

Bo shared a first photo of her wedding dress just days ago, as she rode the bus home ahead of her ceremony.

She captioned the shot: “That’ll be my wedding dress.”

Lord Cardigan lives just five miles away from the church, but his daughter no doubt chose it due to the strong significance it has to her family.

Her mum tragically died in 2012, aged 63, and Bo famously said at the time: “I have no parents. That [relationship] was never going to be.”

It was previously claimed The Earl of Cardigan threatened to make up “dirt” about his estranged daughter.
