3 High-Paying Jobs That Let You Travel The World

It’s no secret you can get paid to travel the world. But when it comes to how much money you’ll make, some travel jobs are better than others.

It turns out you don’t have to live on a wildlife photographer’s salary in order to cure your wanderlust. In fact, Glassdoor recently published a list of jobs that surprisingly pay $100,000 or more per year, and quite a few travel-related careers made the list. Salaries were based on reports from real industry employees, and we have to say, they’re pretty impressive. Take a look:

1. Airline pilot

It’s obvious that pilots get to travel, and they’re paid well to boot. The U.S. Department of Labor estimates the median salary for pilots is a bit lower than Glassdoor’s report, but it’s still six figures. Money isn’t everything, of course: As a pilot, you’ll be treated to some stellar views that nobody else gets to see.

2. Geophysicist

When your job involves active volcanoes and hidden oceans, you can bet it’s going to take you to some fairly epic destinations. Be prepared for off-the-grid journeys to some of the most remote places on Earth, as geophysicist Julian Scott explains on the Bright Knowledge blog.

3. Regional Sales Executive

If you haven’t been to flight school or studies geophysics, then this is likely your most viable option to get paid well and travel at the same time. As a regional sales executive, you’ll maintain a solid customer base by making field visits in your assigned region. Sure, the travel may be more domestic than international, and could vary by company. But oh, just imagine the free hotel nights and airline miles you’ll rack up to use on exotic vacations!
