Colin Firth was looking close to unrecognisable as he displayed his new slimmed-down figure at Cannes.
The actor – famed for films such as Bridget Jones’s Diary – cut a much thinner figure as he attended the Chopard Gent’s Party with his wife Livia over the weekend.
Instead of resembling the handsome Mark Darcy that we all know and love, the 55-year-old looked rather gaunt in his face.
In particular Colin’s jaw looked much more pronounced and his cheeks appeared a lot less plump.
The actor has lost a lot of weight
The dramatic weight loss didn’t stop him from looking dashing on the red carpet though.

Colin had come suited and booted for the event, sporting a smart suit teamed with a crisp white shirt and dark tie.
Colin’s face looked especially gaunt
Wife Livia made sure to cling to her husband’s side during the star-studded bash.
The dark-haired beauty had herself upped the style stakes as she wore an elegant black gown alongside her hubby.
Colin and Livia, who married in 1997, barely left each other’s side after arriving on the red carpet together.

In the past Colin has been open about getting into character for films – admitting on several occasions that he’s prepared to lose weight if neccessary.

The dad-of-three famously shed the pounds when he starred in The Railway Man in 2013.

However it’s unknown whether his most recent transformation is work-related.
Colin was seen to have regained the weight when he filmed Bridget Jones’s Baby last year.
