Olly Murs admits he"s not over his painful break-up and has started drinking and partying more

Olly Murs has admitted he is still struggling with the painful split from his girlfriend of three years.

The former X Factor host parted ways from property manager Francesca Thomas, 27, in September and has revealed he’s written songs about their break-up which she “might find difficult” to listen to.

He told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: “I’m not over it. I don’t think anyone is ever over a break-up. You’re always going to think about them and care about them. It’s like you’ve lost someone, like you’re grieving, because they were there all of the time and then they’re not.”

The hunk, who recently shaped up by as a result of a new healthy eating and exercise plan, also revealed he’s a bit worried about how much he’s drinking and partying now he’s a single guy.

He said: “The problem is at the moment I’m going out too much. You know when you go to the doctors and they ask you questions, they say ‘How often do you drink?’

“Normally I’d say I have a drink once or twice every two weeks and now it’s like … every two or three days … maybe.”

Olly is working on his fifth album and admitted some days in the studio were difficult because he was still coming to terms with the split.

He said at his lowest moments he just “couldn’t bring myself to be happy.”

Nawww, Olly. We just want to give him a massive hug.

The star was reportedly struggling to juggle his long-term romance with his hectic work schedule while he was presenting The X Factor with Caroline Flack.

Back in September 2015, a source told The Sun newspaper: “He always worried that his relationship would struggle because he’d always put his career first.

“Now, with X Factor and his singing on the go, that’s exactly what has happened.”

They said the Heart Skips a Beat hitmaker was particularly upset because Francesca was “the first woman he planned a future with”.
