Who won Britain"s Got Talent 2016? Winner revealed, performances and more
Richard Jones has been revealed as Britain’s Got Talent’s tenth winner.
The magician thundered to victory after beating back the eleven other finalists in Saturday’s grand final to take home to the prize money of £250,000 and the chance to perform at the Royal Variety Performance show.
“I can’t believe it, thank you so much to everyone who voted, I can’t believe it,” he said as he thanked the Magic Circle for his win.
The magician has won the chance to perform at the Royal Variety Performance and a £250,000 cash prize.
Jones received huge praise from judges Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden.
Here’s how the night went down…
Balance Unity was the first act to perform on the live final with his comedy dance act.
The 17-year-old dancer brought in aspects of the X Factor, Strictly Come Dancing and even Simon Cowell’s dogs Squiddly and Diddly as he performed.
The judges loved the performance with David Walliams calling it a ‘brilliant idea, brilliantly executed’.
Richard Jones was up next performing with an emotional military themed magic trick from the British soldier.
The magician told the story of Britain’s oldest magician, Fergus Anckorn, and how he used his magic skills to cope in a prisoner of war camp in Singapore.
Jones then brought the 93-year-old legend out onto stage and the judges loved the ‘respectful’ low-key trick.

100 Voices of Gospel were the third act to perform with their singing Happy Days and it more than impressed.
“I just want to burst out of this dress and get on that stage,” Amanda Holden said as she gushed about the choir’s performance.
“That was perfection,” added Simon Cowell as he added his thoughts in about the choir that could be the first choir to win Britain’s Got Talent.
Alex Magala won high praise for his terrifying stunt involving a pole, a chainsaw and some handcuffs.
Amanda Holden called his pre-recorded dangerous stunt the most terrifying thing she had ever seen, while the other judges could barely watch the performance.
It ended with him dropped from on high onto a powered-up chainsaw while handcuffed and it was thrilling.
“One of the best acts I’ve ever seen on the show,” added Alesha Dixon.
However, viewers were quick to take to social media after they spotted a safety wire.

Singing mother and son duo Mel and Jamie took to the stage next with their performance and the judges enjoyed it after the terrifying Alex Magala spectacle.
The singers couldn’t quite believe that they had made the final and said they were shocked to just be able to perform but Simon insisted he thought the country would get behind them.
Dancing couple Shannon and Peter followed with their act as the judges’ wildcard.
The pair made the judges feel emotional as they danced across the stage, despite Shannon wearing canary yellow.
“I thought that was stunning,” said Alesha Dixon as Amanda praised them for their ‘truthfulness and unpretentiousness’.
Jasmine Elcock’s performance of True Colours betrayed her 14 years.
Judge David Walliams said she ‘enraptured him’ while Alesha said her wisdom enchanted her.
“It felt effortless,” added Amanda Holden as she gushed about the singer’s performance but it was Simon Cowell who brought the praise home.
“You have beautiful control and your smile does everything,” he said.
Lucy and Trip Hazard’s uber cute doggy act was up next and it was so cute.
The judges absolutely loved the superhero themed crime-fighting doggy performance with David calling it ‘utterly charming’ and the audience going wild.
“Whatever happens tonight, you are my house next week to sort out my lot,” Simon added to Lucy.

Beau Dermott might be the most talented young singer Britain’s Got Talent has ever had perform on stage.
The 12-year-old vocalist knocked Defying Gravity out of the park again, and blew everyone else away with her talent.
“I just don’t think I’ve got enough words left to say how amazing you are,” Amanda Holden said to her Golden Buzzer pick.
And then David joked it was Amanda’s last year on the panel and she threw a glass of water at him.

Singing impressionist Craig Ball took to the stage next and made an unfortunately split up with one of his impressions, something that he apologised for despite the judges telling him it happens.
