Celebrities Show Their Support For Kim Kardashian Following Terrifying Paris Robbery
On Sunday night, Kim Kardashian was held at gunpoint and robbed of millions of dollars worth of jewelry at her Paris hotel room.
The reality star reportedly had her hands and feet bound by the thieves ― two “armed, masked men” ― and was left “badly shaken” by the incident. Thankfully, though, her rep confirmed to The Huffington Post, she was “physically unharmed.”
Following the terrifying incident, Kanye West stopped his show in New York mid-set, telling the crowd he had a “family emergency.”
Once news spread around the internet, online trolls couldn’t help but joke about it, leading many celebrities to jump to Kardashian’s defense on Twitter. They also shared their love and support for the mother of two.
People making jokes about @KimKardashian tonight would do well to remember that she’s a mother,a daughter,a wife,a friend.Be nice or shut up

Stop making Kim K jokes. This isn’t a photo shoot or an outfit. This is a human life.

Kardashian’s good friend Chrissy Teigen contemplated fame and celebrity, while assuring the Twitterverse, “some shit just isn’t funny.”
“Fame is interesting,” she wrote, “Celebs are supposed to love you guys while also knowing you’d make a meme of our dead bodies to get retweets.”
She concluded, “I just miss empathy, in general, for everyone.”
Some shit just isn’t funny. I see you trying, but it isn’t.

I dunno. It’s hard to explain because everyone thinks money and fame is pure awesome, so it just sounds whiny. I get it, trust me. Go off.

It is just a weird little world that I cannot expect anyone to get. I know it seems super awesome and laughable. I know.

I myself think it is bonkers.

I’m not trying to be condescending. I really do get it. I would be the same way if I didn’t have the random opportunity to see both sides.

Please do not think that I think celebrities are special snowflakes. I just miss empathy, in general, for everyone.
