Star Wars: The Force Awakens saw James Bond actor Daniel Craig sneaking in for a cheeky cameo as stormtrooper JB-007 – and now Take That star Gary Barlow could be following in his footsteps.

Gary is said to have secretly filmed his role at Pinewood Studios last week, according to The Sun.

A source told the newspaper: “Gary is a huge Star Wars fan so this is a dream come true.

“The process has been kept top secret, as he doesn’t want anybody to find out.

“His connections in the film industry got him the part.”

Stormtroopers are anonymous – so there’s no telling which famous faces could be running around fighting for the First Order.

Star Wars VIII, which has yet to be given an official name, is due to be released next year.
